Duane Laflin created this trick many years ago. Since then, he has used it extensively. It is simple, yet strong magically and, when done with a gospel message, it is a wonderful teaching aid.
Instructions and Routine:
Announce that it is time to play a "Christian Game Show" called "THE REASON FOR THE SEASON". By way of this game show, maybe an answer to the true meaning of Christmas will be found!
Two volunteers take a turn pulling a small card from a special Force Bag which are numbered with either 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. The large panels which correspond to the two chosen small number cards are put on the wooden display frame.
The magician shows that the small number cards which were not chosen, correspond to pictures of Santa, toys and snowy weather. Although these are all wonderful during the Christmas season, they do not represent the true meaning of Christmas.
Next, the display is turned around for the audience to see the amazing finale - the two numbers chosen by the volunteers have made a complete picture of baby Jesus in a manger along with the words "THE BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST". The true meaning of Christmas has been answered!
